Automating a Paper Survey
Converted a 20-page paper survey into an interactive Excel survey which was sent to 700+ college and universities. This project was the first attempt to collect survey data in a digital format. The response was very positive with 71% of the institutions using the Excel version, and fewer data errors reported. I met with the manager and QA of the department to review the common problems with the data collection and the internal checks performed by hand on the survey data before it was entered in to the database.
The feedback with the new survey was very positive, with of 71% of the clients using the Excel version. Many respondents reported the Excel survey was both easier and faster.

This questionnaire included flags that gave the respondents instant feedback on financial data that was not consistent, marked historical revised to aid proofing and prompted for an explanation of unusual data. Since many of the people responsible for filling out the survey were the hub of data collection within their institution, the new format facilitated coordination across departments.
